FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Forsyth is gearing up for the 28th Annual Forsythia Festival.
Organizers are stacking up souvenirs and other items that will be sold during this weekend’s festivities. The festival will be held at the corner of Johnston and Jackson Streets in downtown Forsyth.
The Forsyth Welcome Center Event Manager Rebekah Babovic says the two day event is free and there will be lots of food, fun, and arts & crafts.
“Spring is almost here,” Babovic said. “So here in Forsyth we like to kick it off all together as a community. So, we gather around the square to show off our beautiful courthouse and everything that we have to offer as a community.”
The festival activities will include a tailgate event called Faith Fest, which is a live concert featuring Christian and Gospel artists, groups, and choirs.
41NBC’s Daybreak Anchor Sean Franklin is the Master of Ceremony for the Forsythia Festival Fashion show. It is scheduled for Thursday at Forsyth United Methodist Church.
The Forsythia Festival is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
