There are several different events during the Forsythia Festival season. Expect to see some of your family’s favorite events in 2024, like the Forsythia 5K, and Hello Yellow & Food Truck Frenzy Kickoff. The 2024 Forsythia Festival will also have some new events for you to enjoy! The 37th Annual Forsythia Festival is proudly sponsored by Volume Chevrolet Forsyth.

Pre-Festival Events

BUSINESS2BUSINESS

Kick off the Forsythia season at our annual Business2Business event. Hosted by Connie R. Ham Middle Georgia Realty, this event gives our business community to get a jump start on festival activities. Stop by Middle Georgia Realty on February 29, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. for your first chance to buy a festival t-shirt or grab a calendar of events. It also serves as our quarterly Business After Hours. Thank you Connie R. Ham Middle Georgia Realty for your continued support of Business2Business. This is a Forsythia Festival sanctioned event.

Forsythia 5K

Welcome to the Forsythia Festival 5K! The races begins and end at Forsyth United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. On-site registration starts at 7 a.m. The race takes off at 8 a.m. Registration is $30, registration includes swag bag of goodies and 2024 5K t-shirt. Our 2024 Forsythia 5K Sponsored by Run Fit Sports.

Hello, Yellow! & The Forsythia Food Truck Frenzy

Celebrate the official start to the 36th Anniversary Forsythia Festival on March 2, 2024 11am-5pm! For 2024, Hello, Yellow! will include the Food Truck Frenzy. Car painting by will be on site as well. Get forsythias painted on your car, pick up t-shirts, grab a bite to eat and more. The fun starts at 11 a.m. at the Monroe County Fine Arts Center. Food Truck Frenzy is proudly sponsored by Bank of Dudley, Forsyth, GA.

Bradley Thomason Memorial Car Show

Join us on March 2nd, 2024 for the Annual Bradley Thomason Memorial Car Show. The event will be from 11:00AM - 4:00PM at the Monroe County Board of Education. Registration for the event is $20 and all proceeds go the ALS Foundation. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, and of course some of the nicest cars in Monroe County! This is a Forsythia Festival sanctioned event.

The Block Party

Join us on March 8th, 2024 from 7:00 - 10:00 PM for Country Fest. There will be live music on the square from artists such as The Assembly and Caleb Dunn & Friends. This event is free to the public, so please join us for good music and fun times!

FESTIVAL WEEKEND

(Saturday, March 9 – Sunday, March 10, 2024)

Boy Scout Troop 51 Pancake Breakfast

The Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast is a Forsythia Festival tradition for many families. Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast cooked by our local scouts. For just $8.00 you can fuel up before heading out to the Arts & Crafts fair. The scouts start serving at 7 a.m. on March 9th at the Forsyth United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Community Stage

Back by popular demand! The community stage is open to individuals and groups to perform at the Forsythia Festival. This is a free event for all! Community Stage will be on March 9-10, 2024.

Arts & Crafts Fair

The pinnacle event of the Forsythia Festival is set in the streets of Downtown Forsyth. Join us March 9 – 10, 2024 as we welcome roughly 20,000 people, and more than 100 vendors, to Forsyth. Shop for arts and crafts, enjoy the tasty festival treats, and spend some time with your family at the fun-filled events. Hours are Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
